The Tea Boy heads to Malaga for downhill and trail adventures with Manon Carpenter and Katy Curd
When Manon Carpenter invited me and Katy Curd to Malaga for a week’s riding, we didn’t have to think long before accepting! After all, what better way is there to beat the winter blues than seeking out downhill thrills under sunny skies?
There’ll be a full feature coming in MBUK 286, but here’s a couple of my DH holiday snaps in the meantime, plus a video of Manon in action in Malaga from TheBikeShuttle.com and Salvador Moreno!
MBUK 286 is on sale 11 January – or why no subscribe so you never miss an issue? You can currently get up to 40% off – click here for details!

Fuengirola Skatepark was only 15 minutes down the road – the big concrete park catered for all our pretty varied skatepark ability! Here’s Katy Curd tearing it up.

End of a hard day… time to jump in the sea then chill at a beach bar. Doesn’t get much better than that!

The apartment was close enough to the sea that we could trip to the beach whenever we liked – although most of the time we were too busy riding our bikes!

No posh workshop facilities for us – instead an underground car park with not much light. More than enough to do what we needed though!
