build an amazing bike to give away!

To help celebrate MBUK’s 25th anniversary this year, Chain Reaction Cycles have joined forces with us and agreed to hand over the keys to their warehouse. Yup, they’ve very kindly given us free reign of their vast product range so we can select the best components with which to build an absolutely cracking bike – one that we’ll then give away to one lucky reader in our 25th anniversary issue.

And we want you to help us. We want to hear your suggestions, ideas and advice as to what the bike should comprise. It’s quite a simple process – keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter pages from 5 April where we’ll be talking about the options in various categories every couple of days. Head over to Chain Reaction Cycle’s website to have a look through the gear options and then hit us with your thoughts, comments, ideas. This is your chance to persuade us, disagree with us, give us any (non-abusive!) feedback you want really on what we should use.

We have some good ideas already but want to hear what you think. Tell us what we should be picking and why. Leave your suggestions below, or tell us on Facebook or Twitter!

The final build will be revealed in MBUK’s 25th anniversary issue (on sale 31 May) and you’ll have the chance to win it and be featured in MBUK. Get thinking and hit the links to get involved now!

We’re big fans of the Animal Bike Tour here at MBUK. Now in its ninth year we still love to watch Martyn Ashton’s incredible ability to balance and hop around at great heights in all manners of weather and Blake Samson’s awesome 360 whips and huge corked flips.

In case you haven’t seen the show take a look here at some of the dates they’ve already completed this year. The whole show centres around a custom made rig with vans from Mercedes Vito Sport and it’s amazing what these guys pull off in a short space of time and a pretty concentrated area – all under the very entertaining commentary of MC James Thorne.
